We are offering 5 lb. cases of the various peppers that we grow. Right now we are offering red Corno di Toro, Poblano, red Jalapeños and Cyklon.
Poblano: The poblano is a mild chili pepper originating in the state of Puebla, Mexico. Dried, it is called ancho or chile ancho, from the Mexican Spanish name ancho. Stuffed fresh and roasted it is popular in chile rellenos poblanos.
Jalapeño: Red Jalapeño peppers have a conical shape and come to a broad end at their tip. Their shiny red skin is smooth and usually marked with characteristic striations known as “corking”. A characteristic that is reflective of the peppers maturity and is desired in the Mexican Jalapeño market but not so much in the United States. Their crisp flesh is slightly sweeter than the immature green jalapeño and has a notably hotter spice. Depending upon variety its Scoville range is from 2,000 to 10,000 units.
Cyklon: A chili pepper from Poland. This high yielding pepper dries easily and is widely used in the spice industry. 10 by 3 cm long pods mature from green to red. An excellent chili pepper to use for salsa and adding a crunch to salads or for making Polish paprika.
Bulk peppers can be used for preserving, jam making, stuffed, salsa, hot sauce, pickling, etc.
